When using mirror glass over 12 square feet in area e.g. a mirror 4’ x 3’ we recommend using 6mm thick mirror glass, a. For safety, and b. To help reduce the amount of distortion thinner (4mm) mirror glass can create when used in large sizes.

Most of our mirrors are supplied with a bevel (some shapes can not be bevelled) unless a flat mirror is requested - the price is adjusted accordingly.

Safety Backing This can be adhered to the back of the mirror glass, so in the event of the mirror being broken when off or on the wall, it will help to hold the broken piece in place until safely removed. N.B. Using the backing on mirrors which are going into rooms of a high moisture atmosphere e.g. kitchens and bathrooms helps to preserve the silvering.
